Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Computational Mechanics - The George Wasgington University

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the George Washington University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor starting fall semester 2015. The primary field of interest is mechanics of geomechanical and structural systems. Applications from women and under-represented minority groups are strongly encouraged. 

Basic Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or closely related fields and an earned Ph.D. in civil and environmental engineering or closely related fields are required, demonstrated expertise in theoretical and computational mechanics with strong evidence of the ability to address complex engineering problems across length and time scales.

Doctoral candidates will be considered, but must complete all the requirements for the doctorate degree by August 1, 2015.
