Applications are invited for a position of Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the National University of Singapore. The successful candidate will perform research in the areas of advanced computational fluid mechanics and fluid-structure interaction. A Ph.D.in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, Applied Math., Civil Engineering, Ocean and Naval Architectural Engineering or other related disciplines is required.
A candidate should have a strong interest in both numerical and hydrodynamic aspects of a problem in large-scale applications at high Reynolds number. More precisely, the job involves the development of methodologies and analysis of complex coupled fluid-structure interaction involving vortex-induced vibration (VIV) and fluid-elastic instabilities in offshore engineering applications.
