A research associate is required to work on a project in third generation artificial turf based in the Sports Technology Institute at Loughborough University. The primary role will be to initiate the development of a finite element model for 3G turf for research and development applications. Secondary roles will include conducting experimental studies designed to provide data to support the model development and in planning grant applications on this topic.
Candidates require a PhD in Engineering, Materials or Polymer Engineering or equivalent experience. Significant research experience in finite element modelling and academic publishing are also required. Experience of Mechanical and Biomechanical experimental data collections and Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative analysis methods is desirable.
