We would like to invite you to participate in a symposium on “Modeling and experimental characterization for the behavior of the micro/nanostructured thin films” in ASME 2015 International Mechanical Engineering Congress & Exposition
November 13 – 19, 2015
Houston, Texas. The deadline for abstract submission is March 2, 2015.

Organizers:

Danial Faghihi, Institute for Computational Engineering & Sciences,UT Austin

George Voyiadjis, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering,
Louisiana State University

This symposium’s main focus is on experimental, theoretical and computational studies of mechanical and thermal properties and responses of small structured thin films and coatings. These studies will include, but are not limited to the following subject areas: microstructural characterization, elasticity, fatigue, fracture, plasticity and creep, thermal stability, micro/nano-mechanical testing techniques, Micro/Nano-fabrication methods, advanced Micro/Nano-manufacturing of various devices and theoretical, computational and analytical modeling of mechanical and thermal properties at small dimensions.

To submit an abstract please go to: http://www.asmeconferences.org/IMECE2015/Author/NewAbstract.cfm

  • Track 11 Materials: Genetics to Structures

  • Symposium: 11-4 Modeling and experimental characterization for the behavior of the micro/nanostructured thin films

We would very much like you to consider contributing a presentation within this symposium.

Best regards,

Danial Faghihi and George Z. Voyiadjis
