A PHD position in piezoelectric sensors and energy harvesters

 

A Research Assistant position is available in the Department of Material Science and Engineering, University of North Texas-Denton in the fields of modelling and experiment of piezoelectric devices such as sensors and energy harvesters. The position will start from Fall, 2015. Candidates should have a Bachelor/Master's degree in engineering mechanics, mechanical engineering or electrical engineering with good academic standing and should have some experiences in the following:

(1) Fundamental knowledge on piezoelectric theory and modeling,
(2) Knowlege in LABVIEW or MATLAB- based experiment test,
(3) Fundamental knowledge in solid mechanics,
(4) Sensor circuit development.

Knowledge on piezoelectric crystal resonators modelling and experiment is a plus.

 Candidates should already have TOEFL and GRE scores. Interested applicants should send a detailed C.V. and transcript to Prof. Zhang at haifeng.zhang@unt.edu.
