A PHD position in QCM-based gas sensors

A PHD Research Assistantship is available in the Department of Material Science and Engineering, University of North Texas-Denton in the fields of modeling and experiment of QCM (Quartz crystal microbalance)-based gas sensor. The position will start from Spring, 2016. Candidates should have a Bachelor/Master's degree in engineering mechanics, mechanical engineering or electrical engineering with good academic standing and should have some experiences in the following:

(1) Fundamental knowledge on piezoelectric theory and modeling,
(2) Fundamental knowledge in solid mechanics,
(3) Experience on quartz crystal microbalance-based devices.
(4) Signal processing and basic circuit development skills
