Tenure-Track Faculty Position - Oregon State University - Computational Materials Science

The Schools of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and Mechanical, Industrial, and Manufacturing Engineering at Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position within the area of computational materials science.  Expertise is sought in modeling at the material microstructure and interface level using methods such as molecular dynamics, dislocation dynamics, ab-initio, and phase field modeling.  Appointment may be in either School depending on disciplinary alignment. Appointments will be considered at Assistant, Associate and Full Professor levels depending on qualifications of the applicant.   The Schools have existing research threads in structural materials, novel electronic, photonic, magnetic, and sensing materials and devices, energy conversion, robotics, advanced manufacturing, and renewable energy systems that span the traditional academic disciplines of mechanical, electrical, industrial, manufacturing, and computer science.

 

PhD in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or a related field prior to position start date. Duties include research in mechanical and/or electrical engineering, teaching and service.
