We are currently accepting candidates for 1 Ph.D. and 1 Postdoc positions in the Mechanical Engineering Department at the State University of New York, Stony Brook, working on applying smart materials to energy harvesting, sensing and control.
Individuals with very good knowledge in the following area(s) are invited to respond.
o Vibration-based Energy Harvesting
o Wind-based Energy Harvesting
o Fluid Structure Interaction
Candidates are expected to have Strong Experimental Experiences as well as Programming Skills in Matlab/Labview/Comsol.
Postdoc applicants should have a PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Material Science Engineering.
Prospective candidates will be working closely with collobrators from UCLA, Brookhaven National Laboratories and industries.
