Recipients of 2016 Extreme Mechanics Letters (EML) Young Investigator Award

I am pleased to announce that Prof. Robert Shepherd from Cornell University and Prof. Kejie Zhao from Purdue University have been voted by the award committee as the recipients of the 2016 EML Young Investigator Award.

The EML Young Investigator Award is provided by Elsevier to honor the best paper by young scientists who have been published in EML during the calendar year immediately preceding the year of the award. The award is made annually to the corresponding authors of the papers who received his/her Ph.D. no more than 10 years prior to the year of award. Corresponding authors who have yet to receive a Ph.D. are also be considered.

The 2016 EML Young Investigator Award will be presented at the EML Reception during the SES meeting at the University of Maryland, College Park. Time and location of the EML Reception will be announced later.
