Call for Papers: PVP 2017 - MF2 Application of Fracture Mechanics in Failure Assessment

The ASME Materials and Fabrication Committee (M&F) is inviting papers in the technical sessions on Application of Fracture Mechanics in Failure Assessment (Topic MF-2). The papers will appear in the PVP 2017 conference proceedings and may be considered for publication in the ASME Journal of Pressure Vessel Technology (JPVT) or any other ASME archival journals.

Topic MF-2: Application of Fracture Mechanics in Failure Assessment
Suggested topics are, but not limited to
• Innovative fracture methodologies,
• Structural integrity assessment programs,
• Constraint effects and transferability in fracture mechanics,
• Technical basis for national and international consensus Codes and Standards,
• Application of multi-scale and local approach methodologies,
• Irradiated effects on reactor pressure vessel steels and structural materials,
• Fracture and fatigue testing and analysis, including cracking in weld and heat-affected-zone (HAZ),
• Experimental programs for the development and verification of fracture methodologies
• Fracture of joints and coatings involving dissimilar materials, and
• Mixed mode fracture and multiaxial loading effect in structural materials.
