Ph.D. Applicant
Dear Dr. Shakiba,
I have sent you neomerous Emails about the position in your group, but I did not recieve any responses.
I finished my master studies at Sharif University of Technology, in Structural Mechanics, under the supervision of Professor Hossein Shodja.
During my graduate program, I gained experience and knowledge in performing analytical and computational studies in the field of solid mechanics. Moreover, I am familiar with finite element analysis and simulation in COMSOL Multiphysics. Above all, I acquired programming skills and employed them to various problems, which I believe is one of the most important abilities I possess. In my M.Sc. thesis, I studied surface acoustic wave, SAW, propagation in functionally graded piezo-electro-magnetic material, which led to two publications in peer-reviewed journals. In addition, I have completed a research on the Rayleigh wave propagation in piezoelectric layer/half-space system with imperfect interface, which is ready to be submitted. Finally, I am currently working on modeling of Nano mechanical piezoelectric cantilevers employing higher order continuum theories.
I have explored your webpage in detail. Your researches seem like an excellent fit for me. I believe with my experience and expertise in performing computational analysis, I can contribute to several ongoing projects in your group. I am also highly interested in learning about your future research and experience new fields under your supervision.
I will be grateful if you could consider my application. Please also feel free to email or call me. I am looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks for your consideration.
