PhD positions are available in experimental study and computational multiscale modelling of sustainable infrastructure materials (http://web.uri.edu/sustainable-materials/) at the University of Rhode Island, Kingston, RI, United States. The students will be enrolled in the Department of Civil and environmental Engineering at the University of Rhode Island.  Individuals interested in development of novel sustainable infrastructure materials, multiscale material modelling, crack propagation in cementitious materials, performance of concrete under blast loading, are encouraged to apply.  Candidates should be available to start as early as fall of 2017.
