Dear Colleague,
I'm Bosnian student and i want to use in
the ABAQUS infinite elements for the 3D model. Model is very simple, 3D box
and load acting in the middle of the model. Around loading surface I'm
using C3D8 elements and under i would like to use CIN3D8 elements. I
used to model box and
infinity as two separate parts and i tied this together in assembly mode. In
input file i changed just elements type of infinity part in to the CIN3D8
elements. But when i run the analysis i always get the error like:
***ERROR: THE FACE S2 IS NOT VALID FOR THE UNDERLYING ELEMENT 1 INSTANCE
PART-2-1 IN *SURFACE ASSEMBLY_PART-2-1_INSIDE
Does anyone have some more experience with this???

the ABAQUS infinite elements for the 3D model. Model is 3 layares include hot mix asphalt,base and subgrad. I'm using C3D8 elements and under i would like to use CIN3D8 elements. my aim this project is recive response pavement due tires.
