Post-doc position at Northwestern - Mechanics and Energy Lab

The Mechanics and Energy Laboratory within the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at Northwestern University, directed by Prof. Alessandro F. Rotta Loria, is looking to hire a post-doctoral researcher. The selected post-doctoral researcher will develop a project on the multiphysical behavior of geomaterials subjected to direct current electric fields through experimental investigations and theoretical analyses. This full-time position is for a duration of 1 year, starting on April 1st 2020, with the possibility of a contract extension.

To be considered for this position, a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in mechanicsmaterials sciencecivil or environmental engineeringchemistry, physics or other related fields is required. Expertise and interest in multiphysical experimental laboratory testing are required. Independent research skills, teamwork attitude, commitment, and excellent communication skills are desired for this position.
