Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science, Duke University The Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science at the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant or untenured Associate Professor level. Applications are particularly invited from candidates whose research interests fall in the areas of (1) robotics and autonomous systems and/or (2) aerospace engineering. Examples include — but are not limited to — robotics, autonomous vehicles and systems, cyber-physical systems, control theory and optimization, machine learning and artificial intelligence, energy efficient propulsion and aircraft systems, computational fluid dynamics, and other allied autonomy and aerospace disciplines. Applicants for the position must have a demonstrated record of excellence in, and show exceptional promise for, high-quality research, teaching, and professional development.
