Dear Colleagues,

The Composites Heterogeneous Materials Analysis and Simulation (COHMAS) Laboratory at KAUST (King Abdullah University of Science and Technology), Saudi Arabia, is pleased to announce e-poster competition on composite materials.

The competition is held as one of our highlighted programs in FutureComposite 2021 Workshop (May 24 – 27, 2021). This high-caliber online workshop is focused on the state-of-the-art technologies that will benefit the development of a strong composite material-related economy. The event co-organized by Prof. Gilles Lubineau (KAUST) and Dr. Fahad Al-Khodairi (Corporate Fellow, SABIC). You are of course all very welcome to attend.

We invite all bachelor and master students to apply for e-poster competition on composite materials. The details about the e-poster competition are given below.

Deadline of e-poster submission

May 16, 2021 by 23:59 p.m. Saudi Arabia Time (GMT +3)

Students can present the research work related to (but not limited to) the following topics:

  • Modeling of composites
  • Additive manufacturing
  • Damage & failure of composite
  • Repair of composites
  • Composite in aerospace & automotive
  • Composites in oil and gas
  • Composite and Industry 4.0
  • Fatigue of composites
  • Manufacturing of composites
  • Textile composites
  • Structural health monitoring
  • Synthesis of fibers and matrix

  • Composite-based soft robotics
  • Joining of composites
  • Natural fiber composites
  • etc.

  • Winner of the best e-poster is eligible to visit COHMAS Laboratory at KAUST, Saudi Arabia, with all costs covered
  • Winner of the best e-poster will be announced during closing ceremony on May 27, 2021

Presenter must provide:

  • PDF slides of e-poster (one page only)
