I want to model steady waves and to see their effects on a submerged structure and vice versa (i.e. effect of structure on the fluid motion). Becasue of the latter I can't use wave loding in Abaqus/Aqua. I am using Abaqus/CEL with an Eulerian volume.
I will generate waves at one end (the method is still not sure, any suggestions are welcome). The problem is when I define the oposite boundary, where the waves can reflect. I want to model undisturbed waves. I can't make the volume wider as it will make the model bulck for processing.
Any solution?
Does anyone know about some type of element that can absorb energy in the waves so thaat waves won't reflect?
I am thinking of wave breaking methods but have doubts about their effectiveness.
