Postdoctoral and PhD positions at Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School

Two postdoctoral researcher positions and one Ph.D. position are available in the Multiphase Fluid-Structure Interaction Lab in Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School. The postdoc will assist the PI (Prof. Shunxiang Cao) in tasks associated with the high-performance simulations of multiphase fluid-structure interaction (FSI) problems, including bubbly flow modeling, development of efficient fluid-structure coupling algorithms, development of high-performance fluid-structure coupled solver, and reinforcement-learning-based control of FSI. 

Essential Functions

The candidate will work with graduate students in a mentoring role and will be involved in developing research proposals, finishing research tasks provided by PI, publishing scholarly articles, presenting the works in academic conferences and sponsor-supported meetings.

Required Qualifications

For Postdoc position:

(1) A Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering / aerospace engineering / ocean engineering / applied mathematics, or a relevant discipline.; 

(2) Strong interest in computational mechanics, including computational fluid dynamics, computational structure mechanics, cavitation, machine learning;

(3) Proficiency in programming (C/C++, Fortran, Python, MATLAB).

For Ph.D. position:

(1) A bachelor degree in mechanical engineering / aerospace engineering / ocean engineering / applied mathematics, or a relevant discipline.;

(2) Strong interest in computational mechanics, including computational fluid dynamics, computational structure mechanics, cavitation, machine learning;
