A Postdoctoral Researcher position is available, effective immediately, in the Computational Mechanics Research Laboratory (CMRL) at Johns Hopkins University to work in the research group of Professor Somnath Ghosh. The specific project will involve phase field modeling of ductile fracture, fatigue modeling, crystal plasticity FEM of polycrystalline materials, and uncertainty quantification. Applicants can be from a relevant field of Science & Engineering.

 

A strong background and/or interest in the following areas is necessary:

(i) Computational Mechanics and Computational Materials Science

(ii) Phase field modeling of fracture

(iii) Uncertainty Quantification and Propagation
