This is to announce the formation of a new institute, the International Institute of Interoperability Science, headquarters at Rutgers University, and involving several of the world's largest mechanical aerospace organizations. The purpose of this institute is to solve the problems of interoperability, not by the conventional ad hoc methods, which become immediately invalid the moment new software is introduced, but instead, to solve the problems of interoperability by a principled mathematical systematic approach - captured by the term "interoperability science" invented in our institute.
