China Scholarships Council

*Information:* This scholarship programme, which is overseen by China

Scholarship Council (affiliated to the Chinese Ministry of Education), was

approved in early 2007. Between 2007 and 2011, CSC will fund 5,000 Chinese

university students annually to study overseas for a Phd degree. The aim of

the programme is to sponsor first-class Chinese students to study for Phd

degrees in science and technology fields at first-class universities

overseas.

*Value:* The scholarships cover air fares and living costs for up to 4

years. The University of Glasgow has agreed to waive tuition fees for CSC

students from our partner universities who meet the entry requirements and

are accepted for PhD study. The following Faculties have agreed the
