water psi at an angle

Submitted by charter504 on

IF water pressure is  pounds per square inch , and I have a tank of water with a slanting bottom that moves downward to a much smaller bottom with a hole in it, how do i calculate? How do i calculate psi for an angled bottom collecting into a smaller bottom?

Charter504        Could you simplify that for me?

how about if I had a rectangle shaped tank 34 inches tall, by 8 inches by 8 inches and with 2 55 degree angles coming up from one square inch in the corner, up to 11 inches high at the walls? What would my pressure be on the 1 square inch if it was filled with water?

I'm afraid that's the simplest way that I can think of.  You'll have to put in the effort to try to understand the procedure and modify it to suit your geometry.
