Paris Equation in FCG prediction model

Hi everyone,

As we know obviously Dk in paris equation is an applied value for stress intensity range. we can either measure or calculate it according to fracture mechanics principle depends on geometry, crack length, etc . also we know that this equation can not support VAL conditions. now the question is if we make a change in stress/strain amplitude, besides we use a parameter to accumulate damage such as (Smith W-Topper parameter)to interlink between fatigue and fracture is it possible modify Dk in paris equation in way that corrected value can support Constant amplitude loading block which each block has a constant amplitude?

if you have idea about this i am very eager to hear you and discuss about that.

Best Regards

I am not sure I understand the question, and the literature is very vast on this, but maybe you can try to read some background in this paper

One,
no one, and one hundred thousand crack propagation laws: A generalized
Barenblatt and Botvina dimensional analysis approach to fatigue crack
growth

Journal of the Mechanics and Physics of Solids, Volume 56, Issue 12, December 2008, Pages 3416-3432

There are various papers trying to link FCP with fatigue damage at crack tip, Glinka, Castro, and many others.  If you specify the questions maybe I can point more precisely.

 ps Who are you?
