Dear Colleagues:

Wing Kam Liu and I (Ashfaq Adnan) would like to invite you to submit abstract(s) to the following mini-symposium at the upcoming 11th U.S. National Congress on Computational Mechanics (http://www.usnccm.org/). The congress is scheduled to be held on July 25-29, 2011 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA.

14.2 Multiscale Transport Phenomena in Biological and Biomedical System

The summary the mini-symposium theme can be found here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2543463/USNCCM11/14.2%20MS%20Adnan%20et%20al.pdf

The main focus of the mini-symposium is to address current research on multiscale transport phenomena in the biological and biomedical systems with special emphasis on transport at the submicron scale where the process is largely affected by the physical geometry of the domain.

 Some Target Areas Include:

-Drug transport in tumors

-Transport in organs and organisms

-Molecular transport within cells and cell adhesion

-Transvascular transport

-Gene transport

Information on submitting an abstract and a sample abstract for formatting purposes may be found at http://www.usnccm.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=123&Itemid=38
Please note that the deadline for abstract submission is  January 31, 2011.

Best Regards,

Ashfaq Adnan
