hey guys,
i am doing a project on composite polymer materials and i am really in a terrible state with no knowledge about how i am going to analyse polymer materials in ansys. If anybody else has the details or idea please send me the data.
Tsai-Wu criteria on ANSYS
Hello everyone.
I'm trying to apply the Tsai-Wu criteria to a composite plate in ANSYS. I'm using the SHELL99 element.
However, when I input the data for the criteria an error occours and ANSYS won't show me any results on the criteria.
Can someone help me? How do I use this criteria and what data should I use?

regarding orthognal machining chip propagation usng abaqus
hi am doing my project on high speed machining of aluminium and steel. for chip propagation i want some procedure how to do crack/fracture analysis using ABAQUS. if anybody knew about this please send me information regarding steps involved in building crack propagation.if any practile examples or tutorials are available for this send me to my mail id. my mail id is sasivamsi [at] gmail.com. am using ABAQUS V6.6.

thermal analysis of fin on ansys

I am doing B.E mechanical and my final year project is related to thermal analysis of fin i have completed my first step that is first law analysis of thermodynamics. And i have achieve temperature profile on fin model.
Now i am stuck at second step that is ENTOPY AND EXERGY ANALYSIS(i.e second law of thermodynamics) ihad seached enough but ther is no feature like this. i am using follwing equation for calculatig entropy calculation
