5 PhD Opportunities in Composite Materials and Structural Testing in Marine Renewable Energy

The PhDs are being funded at the National University of Ireland, Galway as part of the SFI Marine Renewable Energy Ireland (MaREI) Centre, starting from September/October this year.

The positions are as follows:

2. Application of Low-Cost, Reactive Thermoplastic Materials to Marine Renewable Energy Device Structures

Two PhD Positions in Biomechanics, Graz University of Technology, Austria

  1. Computational Biomechanics (modeling and simulation) of biomechanical systems from the cellular to the tissue level; implementation of algorithms and material models into finite element codes such as FEAP

PhD Position in Computational Modeling of Materials at The Ohio State University

The Automated Computational Mechanics Laboratory (ACML) in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at The Ohio State University has one open PhD position for Spring 2014.  The research in ACML is focused on the implementation of advanced finite element and meshfree methods for the computational modeling of materials with complex geometries, corrosion, damage/fracture mechanics, and multi-physics simulations.
