This report indicates that the 3D electro-thermal model employed in this study characterizes the electro-thermal behavior of the Li-ion battery cells reasonably well.

SLM has been used to host the automation of the processes and manage the lifecycle of the data used and generated. This report will describe the initial objectives, the implementation experience and the results obtained.
In this paper, finite element (FE) models are developed for
some of the ballasted track components including wood and concrete crossties, ballast and subgrade. A user material subroutine is employed to predict the failure of wood ties based on an
orthotropic stress criterion.
The mechanical manipulation of the equipment, however, can induce significant sudden movement of the completion tubing string near the tool’s locking mechanism. The rapid movement of the tubing string causes large relative motion and “piston effect” forces between tool components and fluid present in the wellbore.

This study is focused on analysis of post-repair behavior of composite structures. The objectives are to a) develop efficient computational approach for repaired areas, capturing processes of both damage initiation and growth; and b) demonstrate it in Abaqus on representative examples of composite repair designs.
In this paper, preliminary results from a numerical study undertaken to study abrasive wear of tillage tools by soil particles are presented. The wear process is modeled as a single sand particle scratching at a prescribed speed on the surface of a tillage tool.
