Postdoctoral position at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology: A multiphysics modeling of electroactive polymers

Submitted by Mahmood Jabareen on

Due to their large deformation capability, electroactive polymers are promising materials for several engineering applications. They can be used, for example, as actuators and sensors in artificial muscles, biomedical devices, microrobots, pumps, valves, etc. The research in this emerging field focuses in the multiphysics modeling of electroactive polymers and combines many aspects of structural mechanics, composite materials (for modeling composite electroactive polymers), and failure mechanisms of structural components and materials.
