About constutive relation of elastic membranes
Is there some theory to describe the constitutive relation of elastic membranes？There are lots of papers studying membranes mechanics of cells, but I just want to know the mechanics of ordinary membranes which are simplified from theories of plates and shells, can anyone tell me some papers or textbooks studying this?(I've found a brief description on Allan Bower's web page, but that's too brief...)
