How to Transfering Results from Abaqus/Explicit analysis

Dear all,

Now I am on a research, and it is divided into two stage: (a)Abaqus/Explicit analysis

and (b) importing the results in the first Abaqus/Explicit analysis to do Abaqus/Standard

analysis.

But in the process of importing results, there are some problems. The parts built in

the first stage can not be imported.

implementation of mass matrix and stiffness matrix in abaqus using external subroutine

Submitted by lamia009 on

 Hi,

I am working on a coupled fluid structure problem , precisley on the elasto-acoustic mode, and i want to make sure that abaqus work with my matrix (stiffness and mass matrix) that i have made by fortran and at the same time i continu using abaqus element to mesh my model,

Any suggestion would be very appreciated

Thanks in advance

Regards

How to rectify an Element error in Abaqus?

Submitted by anilathampy on

when trying to submit a model for analysis i recieve an error as follows

1200 elements have missing property definitions. The elements have been identified in element set ErrElemMissingSection.

Error in job 4: Analysis Input File Processor exited with an error.

Job 4 aborted due to errors.

I have defined the material and then seeded it and defined the element before meshing it.I have also tried defining the element before defining the material and still get the same error.

Free Finite Element Programs in Fortran 95

Programs from Programming the Finite Element Method by Ian M. Smith and D. V. Griffiths are downloadable from: www.mines.edu/~vgriffit/4th_ed/Software This title demonstrates how to develop computer programmes which solve specific engineering problems using the finite element method. It enables students, scientists and engineers to assemble their own computer programmes to produce numerical results to solve these problems.

Abaqus/Explicit VUMAT works fine on 32 bits Abaqus - Fails on 64 bits Abaqus with more than 1 processor!!!

Submitted by julienx2k2 on

Hi,

Here is the issue:

I am working with a x64 version of
Abaqus/Explicit (6.8-2), and a 32bits version (6.7-1). MS VS2005 is
installed with the x64 compiler tools, Intel Fortran is correctly
installed (IA-32 and Intel64 versions). My OS is Windows Vista Enterprise (64 bits).
The routine is compiled and linked correctly by lauching the appropriate ifortvars.bat file prior to executing abaqus.

Everything works perfectly with the 32 bits version of Abaqus+Compiler, with one or more processors (I have 8 of them).

Batch mode simulation error **Advise me**

Submitted by manimania4 on

Hi,

I am running ANSYS on batch mode to simulate a composite lamina (one

layer) with some pattern is cut through, like 4 circular holes.

I would like to do this analysis for different angle of fibers, so I

used SHELL 99 and applied *DO and *ENDDO. But after reading the output

with Matlab I perceive some errors occur in not the first iteration

but all the single ones after the first.

The thing I have done was reading the displacement of each node around
