One month left to apply! With Ondřej Rokoš, we are looking for a postdoc to work with us on the computationally-driven design of pneumatically actuated microstructures with applications in active mechanical metamaterials (with sensing capabilities) and soft robotics. To achieve this goal, the project aims to develop new topology optimization techniques combining pressure actuation, internal contact, and multi-stability.
Due to a withdrawal, a Postdoctoral position is again available immediately at CEMEF Mines Paris, in the French Riviera.
The aim of the project, in collaboration with Safran Aircraft Engines (SAE), is to use numerical simulation and experimental testing in the optimization of fan leading edge manufacturing process.
Interested applicants can send a resume to :
Please be aware that there are two openings for funded PhD and Master's positions at McGill University in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The project is related to vibratory characterization and modeling of suspension seats under real-life exposure conditions. Candidates are invited to read the description and send inforrmation as indicated.
This is a reminder that the Brown University School of Engineering is recruiting applications from talented researchers for two postdoctoral fellowship positions: the Hibbitt and Hope Street Fellowships. Flyers including the application instructions may be found below.
Applicants are once again sought for PhD positions at Griffith University, Gold Coast (Australia).
If you are interested in a PhD in fibre-reinforced composite materials, structural health monitoring or NDT, please contact me (w.hall [at] griffith.edu.au (w[dot]hall[at]griffith[dot]edu[dot]au)) with the following information:
* Brief CV/Resume
* List of publications (at least 2 engineering-related publications)
Hi all,
I'm looking for a Postdoc ASAP (potential start date Jan 2024) to lead a project on lithium metal batteries, involving the use of ultrasonic scanning to study electrolyte wetting (i.e. contact mechanics in porous electrodes) and cell formation. It's a pretty flexible position and focused on the process development aspect, you'll have close exposure to some large battery manufacturing companies. Lastly, you'll have the opportunity to work with and mentor 2 excellent PhD students and several mechanical engineering undergraduate students.

The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Cornell University (Ithaca campus) invites applications for a faculty position (all ranks considered) in the broad areas of natural and engineered systems and their robustness, resiliency and sustainability in the face of climate change and extreme events. Computational, theoretical, or experimental research programs are encouraged. In general, we prioritize the overall originality and promise of the applicant's work, rather than the sub-area of specialization.
