Submitted by pschiavone on

There is an opening for a funded PhD in mechanical engineering at the University of Alberta starting Fall 2023 or Winter 2024, under the supervision of Peter Schiavone. This will involve the development of novel theoretical/computational models and methods in elasticity theory/solid mechanics. Please contact pschiavo [at] ualberta.ca with a cv if interested.

Postdoc in computational modelling of chemical recycling of composites, Denmark

Submitted by Leon Mishnaevsky on

Recyclability of composite blades is an important requirement for future wind turbines. There exist a number of solutions for the recycling of wind turbine blades. How to compare and optimize various composite recycling technologies? How to ensure efficiency of technology and quality of products? This will be a task for new postdoc at DTU Wind.

master position on modeling of laser texturing

Submitted by msolli on

Dear all,

A master position is open at University of Technology of Belfort-MontBéliard in France. The master projet is essentially focused on the modeling of the interaction between the laser and metals in order to predict surface morphology.

The modeling has to account for the different physical phenomenon involved during the interaction. Therefore, comparison between experimental database and numerical results is expected.
