The research topic is on the area of Mechanics of Architected Multifunctional Materials. Theoretical and computational multiscale modelling along with experimental (3D printing and characterization) studies will be conducted for multiphysics analysis of architected cellular solids. The candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. Hamid Akbarzadeh at McGill University.

Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineers International Congress, will be held in Toronto, Ontario at York University. The forum provides a unique opportunity to disseminate research themes, results, and new technologies. It also facilitates networking, among universities, industry, government agencies.

One postdoctoral and/or one MSc/PhD position are available in the Bioresource Engineering Department of McGill University for January 2018. The postdoctoral researcher and MSc student will work on a multidisciplinary research project involving Metamodeling, Optimization, Statistical analysis, and Numerical multiscale simulation to develop a predicative mathematical-computational model to analyze statistical biological data and to simulate transport phenomena in porous biological media. The candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. Hamid Akbarzadeh at McGill University.

One PhD position is available for Fall 2017 in the Bioresource Engineering Department of McGill University. The research is on the Multiscale Modelling of Smart Advanced Materials. Theoretical, computational, and experimental studies will be conducted for design and analysis of smart advanced materials for energy scavenging. The candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. Hamid Akbarzadeh at McGill University. For this position,
