A funded PhD position in Sensor Research and Signal Processing within the Department of Mechanical Engineering at University of Texas at San Antonio

A funded Ph.D. position is available within the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas at San Antonio in the area of impact biomechanics and sensor research focusing on head injury prevention technologies. Strong background in sensor technology and signal processing is highly desired. Successful applicants will have a B.S. or M.S. degree in either Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related engineering field.

Funded PhD positions in impact biomechanics within the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering at University of Texas at San Antonio

PhD positions are available within the Department of Biomedical Engineering or the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas at San Antonio in the area of experimental impact biomechanics research focusing on material system design and injury protection technologies. The PhD student will be working as part of a team exploring various aspects of both impact biomechanics, sensors, and injury protection design.

Funded PhD positions in brain finite element modeling and material modeling within the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering at UTSA

Two PhD positions are available within the Department of Biomedical Engineering and the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas at San Antonio for Summer/Fall 2022 or Spring 2023 in the area of impact biomechanics research focused on computational modeling, traumatic brain injury and injury protection technologies.

The overall goals of these positions, are to 1) integrate computational and experimental techniques to unfold mechanisms underlying traumatic brain injury (TBI) and 2) develop new generation of injury protection devices.

Funded Ph.D. Positions in Brain Injury Biomechanics

Two PhD positions are available within the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Texas at San Antonio for Summer or Fall 2021 in the area of injury biomechanics research focused on traumatic brain injury and computational modeling.

The overall goal of this research, headed by Dr. Marzieh Memar, is to integrate computational and experimental techniques to unfold mechanisms underlying traumatic brain injury (TBI).

Funded Post-Doctoral/Research Scientist Position in Brain Injury Biomechanics @ University of Texas at San Antonio

The Memar Lab in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) is accepting applications for an immediate fully funded post-doctoral/research scientist position in injury biomechanics and computational modeling of traumatic brain injury. This position is highly collaborative and will involve working closely with a multidisciplinary team from UTSA, Georgia Tech, Emory University, and Children Hospital of Philadelphia.
