Post-doc position at Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands

Professor GQ Zhang's research group has an immediate post-doc position at Delft University of Technology, Delft, the Netherlands. The position will be effective from January 2017 for at least two year period of contract. The applicant must have a PhD degree in engineering or science field with a strong record of publications in archived journals. The related research areas involve with micro-/nano- heterogeneous systems integration, reliability and manufacturing, and new material development.

Is there any study on hierarchical structures for polymer/polymer interface or polymer/metal interface? and link the polymer molecular structure with fracture or adhesion study? What is the role of mechanical bonding compared to physical and chemical bonding?

Fracture at corners or edges in bi-material systems

Dr. Suo's group is recently studying the sharp features such as corners or edges. It becomes important to characterize fracture behaviors at corners and edges in microelectronics.
