ASME 2012- IMECE Fatigue and Fracture of engineering materials - ABSTRACT DEADLINE

We are organizing a topic on “Fatigue Failure in Engineering Materials and Structures” in the in the upcoming ASME 2012 International Mechanical Engineering Congress & Exposition. We strongly encourage researchers to submit abstract(s) to this topic and attend the conference. You can locate the topic under the Technical Track Section 9 “Mechanics of Structures and Fluids” and Sub-Section 9-29. The conference will be held from November 9 to15, 2012 at the Hilton Americas and the George R. Brown Convention Center, Houston, Texas.

Deadline extended: CSME International congress: Fatigue and Fracture of engineering materials

The deadline to submit article for the CSME international congress has been extended to February 17th, 2012. We are organizing a symposium on fatigue and fracture of engineering materials and strongly encourage researchers around the world to submit their research articles relevant to this field.

CSME 2012 International congress- Recent developments in fatigue and fracture of engineering materials and structures

Scope of Symposium
It is widely accepted that fatigue is the most common failure mode of structural components. Losses due
to fatigue failures annually are over several millions to billions of dollars. Apart from these economic
losses, fatigue failures are also responsible for causing major safety concerns due to the rapid and often
undetectable nature of the final components’ fracture. This symposium will bring together researchers
with common interest in various aspects of deformation, fatigue, and fracture behavior of engineering

Materials Engineer Full time and Internship opening

There is a new opening (Full time) for Materials Engineer with emphasis upon computational materials design and modeling. Also, there is an opening for Graduate and Undergraduate intership at QuesTek Innovations LLC located in Evanston, IL. Additional details available at
