Hi All,
I am a new user in ABAQUS. I am interested to model soft soil of embankment using Modified Cam Clay model. I have modeled the similar problem in AFENA but in 2D. I am interested for 3D case. Can anyone extend co-operation, how to model soft soil in ABAQUS using Modified Cam Clay?
My email address: nislamce_adfa [at] yahoo.com
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
I am using Abaqus for a structural analysis problem. In the results I have stress distribution over the structure. I can use odb file to see the distribution of stresses as a function of space and time.
I want to plot stress at a particular node as a function of time (and may be also stress distibution w.r.t. space coordinates at some instant of time). I have some general idea about the result file that can be generated from Abaqus and can be accessed. I am reading more about it but I am not sure if this is the right way.
Hello everybody,
I simulate the indentation test with ABAQUS CAE, the indenter is simulated as rigid body analytical surface. I also created reference point, but when i submit the job, there is a mistake:
The rigid part instance Part-2-1 is missing a reference point. Either assign a reference point to the corresponding part or include the entire part in a rigid body constraint.
I think i have done everything properly but it doesn't work. if you need i can send you my code.
I am looking forward to your answer.
I have been bugged by this question ever since I studied cauchy's stress theory 10 years ago.
In cauchy's analysis of solids, there two popular geometries.
First one is a unit cube used for deriving equations of equilibrium.
And the second one is a tetraheadon used for deriving Cauchy's stress theorem.
In both the cases limit of force equilibrium as solid geometry shrinks to a point is derived.
My question has been, how come limit of force equilibrium at a point inside a solid depenent on the path taken by limiting process.
There are several openings for semiconductor process integration at IBM Microelectronics. The reqiured background is quite broad, specifically mechanical engineering background, reliability, failure analysis and modeling with experience in BEOL process and integration. Hi all,
My system got shutdown while running a job in Abaqus.15 Gb odb file was generated and now I am not able to open the odb file.It is saying some error about the format.Have anyone came across such a problem.
Pls help me
