machine design and software simulation (static and dynamic analysis)

Submitted by wissam.hijazi on

HI,

i am a mechanical engineer in the domain of machine design  i use solid works (mainly) and catia  as CAD and i am learning solidworks simulation but as i browsed the net i found that no one recommends it but they do recommend ANSYS , ABAQUS ,OR COMSOL

my line of work is the design and optimization of machines (assemblies) and machine elements (parts), so i need to know if SW simulation is enough in this domain or should i switch to one of the mentioned softwares

and should i choose one what is the one that do the job as is less complex
