The Cardiovascular and Tissue Mechanics Laboratory invites applications for a post-doctoral position in the area of computational simulation of cardiovascular diseases, particularly simulation of growth and remodeling of arterial tissues using geometrical models constructed from patient medical images.

UEL Subroutine aborts with error 5.

Submitted by somusshabadi on

Hello Experts,

I have written a Uel subroutine and trying to implement on a plate constrained at all the edges.

My UEL Subroutine executes without any errors when the total number of elements are just 15 to 20. But when I increase the number of elements and mesh it more fine, My Uel subroutine aborts with ERROR Code 5.

If I print the JELEM, UEL Subroutine is aborting always at 52th Element, i.e when JELEM=52. Even when I remesh the structure with different size, Uel subroutine consistantly aborts for the 52ed element.

Differnce betwwen general Orthogonal cutting and Single point diamond cutting

Submitted by Borad M Barkachary on

Hello Everyone..

As per my knowledge for most of the numerical simulation is assumes 2D orthogonal cutting.  But, I am doubt about Single point diamond Cutting. can we consider it orthogonal cutting....??

because the tool is in crystalline structure. ??

any body please... can clearify my doubt...??

problem in mode shapes obtained by Element Free Galerkin Method

Submitted by Soheilo on

Hello dear all

I'm Soheil Marandy and I work on meshfree methods. I have analysis the free vibration of a thin plate using element free Galerkin method but I have seen that using different field nodes in the element free galerkin method provide different mode shapes.

I would be appreciated If I could have your points on this isssue.

Warm regards,

Soheil
