stress intensity factor
i am doing project on how crack growth and which direction growth. in 2d and 3d model using anasys. so i want calculate stress intensity factor how it is calculate bt using j integral method. this project totally numerically.

Yuri Bazilevs, Xi Chen, and Kenji Takizawa are named 2012 Thomas J.R. Hughes Young Investigators.
Being a undergraduate student of Harbin Institute of Technology,China, I will get my bachelor degree in JUL 2012 majoring in Composite Materials and Engineering. Then I want to find an availible PhD position of 2012 FALL to further my study.
I have studied all the basic courses of materials and mechanics in my bachelor education. Also I have got good scores in both class and lab. And you can see details in my CV and PS attached.
Scope of Symposium
It is widely accepted that fatigue is the most common failure mode of structural components. Losses due
to fatigue failures annually are over several millions to billions of dollars. Apart from these economic
losses, fatigue failures are also responsible for causing major safety concerns due to the rapid and often
undetectable nature of the final components’ fracture. This symposium will bring together researchers

POST-DOC POSITION
Title : Experimental and numerical study
of the composite materials fatigue under multiaxial loadings
The Polymers and Composites Technology & Mechanical Engineering
Department of the Ecole des Mines de Douai (France) is currently offering a
postdoctoral fellow position aiming at studying the behavior of composite
materials under multiaxial loadings.
Hi,
I'm trying to run a frequency analysis of a composite beam with non-linear properties in Abaqus. Is it possible to make use of the non-linear properties in the frequency analysis. If so how can I do it?
Composite beam in this case refers to a combination of steel and concrete.
Any detailed contributions will be appreciated.
Thanks
The intention of shot peening is ultimately to alter the mechanical properties of a given surface. By hitting the surface with controlled shot the surface will deform plastically. Proper Instrumentation, nanoindentation, will play a vital factor in achieving reliable and intended results.
