11th International Workshop on Stress-Induced Phenomena in Metallization

April 12 - 14, 2010 in Dresden, Germany

The workshop will provide a forum for presenting current research and
for discussions on issues related to stress-induced phenomena in
on-chip metal interconnects and solder joints. Stresses arising in
metal structures and surrounding dielectric materials due to novel
process steps, thermal mismatch of thin film materials,

Remeshing in Abaqus/ Explicit

Submitted by tahsinopoz on

Hi Dear IMechanica User

I have faced up a problem during micro-scale cutting using abrasives. I am trying to model this process using Abaqus/explicit and with remeshing module. but currently there doesnt exist any remeshing technique in abaqus/explicit. Could you please suggest the way for doing this simulation by using remeshing technique in Abaqus/explicit. Abaqus/standard is not helpfull to model cutting simulation. this is because i am using Abaqus/explicit by the way.

I am awaiting your valuable suggestions and helpfull informations.

My name is Jinqiang Li. Now I am a study student in Hokkaido University. Next April(2010) I will be a first year Ph.D student (Graduate School of Engineering, Division of Human Mechanical Systems and Design, Research Group of Micromechanical Systems). I got my Master degree in General Mechanics and Mechanics Foundations from Harbin Institute of Technology. I know that most of you are very learned man in mechanics, I hope I can enrich my faculty and knowledge from your wisdom and insights.
