Looking for a graduate student

HELP WANTED

I am looking for a graduate student or a Postdoc who is interested to work on a research project in modeling and simulation of self-healing surfaces and related topics.

The candidate is expected to major in Mechanical Engineering or Materials Science (background in surface mechanics / physics / tribology is preferred), to be comfortable with computational software (MATLAB, Ansys or similar), and to be enthusiastic about producing modeling/computational results and preparing publications.

Batch mode simulation error **Advise me**

Submitted by manimania4 on

Hi,

I am running ANSYS on batch mode to simulate a composite lamina (one

layer) with some pattern is cut through, like 4 circular holes.

I would like to do this analysis for different angle of fibers, so I

used SHELL 99 and applied *DO and *ENDDO. But after reading the output

with Matlab I perceive some errors occur in not the first iteration

but all the single ones after the first.

The thing I have done was reading the displacement of each node around

Analysis of KII for Mode II loading using ansys

Submitted by kirthanlj on

Sir,

Iam pursuing my PhD in Fracture mechanics.  The thing is I analysed a crack problem with straight crack front and subjected to mode I loading using ansys i.e Three point bending. I was able to get the result for SIF I (KI) in ansys. I took the local coordinate system at the crack tip using three nodes.
