DigiMAT: new software for composite material modeling

Submitted by Ali R. khalighi on

I'm working on modeling of mechanical properties of polymer based nanocomposites with clay.I have prepared a code for distributing plat like particles in polimar matrix (preparing RVE) with ABAQUS. I saw DIGIMAT software by www.e-xstream.com Company in internet some times ago. Now I want to test accuracy and application of this software one my project. I want to know if anyone in this club has had worked with this software and so if any one can provide me with a link of academic version of this software for a while.

Hi, my name is christian wijaya. I'm the student of Diponegoro Unversity in Indonesia. I'm on the last term now, i'm doing my final project. I study gust load alleviation with active control. I'm having much interest of mechanical vibration, aeroelasticity, aeroservoelasticity and smart structure. and i've been searching a chance to continue my study entering MS degree and expecting to get the fellowship or research assistanship.

please give me an information and see my CV attached below.

Graduate Student Position at UBC, Vancouver, Canada

Submitted by Srikanthubc on

There is a potential opening for a graduate student research assistantship in Department of Mechanical Engineering, at The University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. Interested students with strong academic background with interest in theory and experiments in the areas of dynamics and vibrations, applied (solid) mechanics are encouraged to apply. Initial queries to be addressed to Srikanth (spa21 [at] bath.ac.uk (spa21[at]bath[dot]ac[dot]uk)).

Abaqus cylindrical

Submitted by M Jawad Qarni on

I am currently simulation arc welding process. i have performed plate butt welding using abaqus software. Dflux subroutine was used and the heat source model i used is goldak double ellipsoidal model.

Now i want to apply this technique to the welding of pipes, but currently i am having difficulty with the nodal coordinates. I have defined my glodal CS to cylindrical coordinate system in part and assembly defintion. But after generating the mesh the input file contain nodal coordinates in cartesian coordinates.
