Problem with running an ABAQUS UEL written in C

Submitted by Hanif Hoseini on

I have written a UEL in C which is called from Fortran. I use: abaqus job=myjob.inp user=myuelf.f

Fortran file, myuelf.f, is like:

-----------------------------------------------------------------

      SUBROUTINE UEL(RHS,AMATRX,SVARS,ENERGY,NDOFEL,NRHS,NSVARS,

     1 PROPS,NPROPS,COORDS,MCRD,NNODE,U,DU,V,A,JTYPE,TIME,DTIME,

A multi-scale modeling framework for instabilities of film/substrate systems

Submitted by Fan Xu on

Spatial pattern formation in stiff thin films on soft substrates is investigated from a multi-scale point of view based on a technique of slowly varying Fourier coefficients. A general macroscopic modeling framework is developed and then a simplified macroscopic model is derived. The model incorporates Asymptotic Numerical Method (ANM) as a robust path-following technique to trace the post-buckling evolution path and to predict secondary bifurcations.

Open-Access Paper: Transient thermal finite element analysis of CFC-Cu ITER monoblock using X-ray tomography data

Submitted by Simpleware on

This Creative Commons article in Fusion Engineering and Design investigates the thermal performance of a fusion power heat exchange component by analysing microstructures obtaiend using X-ray tomography. Simpleware software was used as part of an image-based modelling workflow that involved microstructurally faithful finite element analysis of how manufacturing defects affect performance.
