SES symposium "Soft Materials" extended DEADLINE approaching -- July 31, 2015
Dear Colleagues,
The 52nd Annual Technical Meeting of the Society of Engineering Science will be hosted by Texas A&M University during October 26-28, 2015. As part of this meeting, we are organizing a mini-symposium to address recent experimental, computational, theoretical, and manufacturing advances on the mechanics and physics of soft materials. Topics of particular interest include:
Assistant / untenured Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering, Stanford University
The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty appointment at the junior level (assistant or untenured assoicate professor).
Assistant/Associate Professor position at Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands
A faculty position is available in the group of Aerospace Structures and Computational Mechanics at the faculty of Aerospace Engineering of Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. Candidates will be considered at the assistant or associate professor level depending on experience. More information can be found in the following link:

S23=0 as a boundary condition in static step
hi
I need help in setting the s23 on a certain surface in my model to be zero. But the following pops up:
"loads must be created with a non zero magnitudes unless utilizing a user subroutine"
what subroutine shall I use and how?
thanks
abaqus multi scale modeling
hi
I'm a beginner in abaqus and I started to simulate an multiscale analysis, I model both micro and macro scales and even homogenization part for micro scale outputs, but I couldn't perform a relation between two scales. i know the parts of the code, but i can't call python from fortran subroutine.
could any expert guide me how to overcome this problem? i want to know if i can find any template or simple implementation of multi-scale modeling in abaqus?
