Modeling concrete wall covered by FRP under blast load

1.a thin block with fine mesh would be fine i think, but not sure if you'll get very large deformation.

2.Surface to surface contact should be good, and if you dont need to consider the relative motion between them, a fine mesh on

top of the wall with FRP material properties would be better. BTW.Explicit should be better for shock simulation:D faster~
