Grant for master thesis at Bosch: FEM Simulation of Fracture in Electronic Components

If you are a master student and would like
to do your master thesis, there is an opportunity to do it at Bosch in
Stuttgart, Germany. The grant will be given for 6 months and can be extended to
6 more months ( 6 months internship plus six months master thesis.)

Your responsibilities:

Establishment of parametric FEM models of electronic
components (for example BGA packages) under dynamic (drop, vibration, etc.)
loads

Investigating the reliability of component by fracture
mechanics approach

Geometry optimization to enhance the lifetime

Your competencies and qualifications:

Enrolled Student (m/f) in the area of mechanical/
aerospace engineering or physics/ material science

Experience with a commercial FEM software (ANSYS,
ABAQUS, etc.)

Knowledge of design and calculation of dynamic behavior
of structures

Good knowledge of English or German language

This grant is very fansinating me, and I am just a master graduate who will get my MS degree in 2013.

But I wonder, is there a barricade for foreign students,like me?I am a graduate student in Hunan University, China.
