DPhil Studentship at University of Oxford - funded by Rolls-Royce

Dear All,

we have a DPhil studentship available in the Solid Mechanics and Materials Engineering Group, within the Impact Engineering Laboratory led by Prof Nik Petrinic.

The topic of the studentship is isogeometric modelling with meshless discretisation, and this research is funded as a part of a wider investigation into modelling methodologies for Whole-Engine-Modelling funded by TSB and Rolls-Royce. The aim is to further integrate the mathematical models used in CAD and computational modelling of solids subject to impact loading. Development of novel aspects of isogeometric modelling and meshless discretisation approaches will be at the core of this project's research focus.

The studentship is available ALSO for overseas students. If interested, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Regards,

Ettore

Hello Mr. Barbieri,

I am a master student from Technical University of Munich (TUM) in the field of computational mechanics and currently I am doing my master thesis in the Institute for Carbon Composites (will be finished in April 2013).

Due to my interest in the offered PhD position, I want to ask how I can send my CV and other materials needed for application (email or etc.).

Thanks a lot in advance for your time.
