Dear All,
I am new to ABAQUS and trying to simulate my microdamper for fundamental mode frequency. In simulation (Version 6.9), I am trying to set silicone oil properties. This microdamper has three layers viz. Aluminum, Polydimethyl siloxane (PDMS) and Aluminum. I have carved microchannels in PDMS and filled silicone oil to these microchannels.
Silicone oil properties are:
Shear modulus = 1.43e9 Pa
Bulk modulus = 1.0349e9 Pa
Density = 760 Kg/m3
Silicone oil is assigned as material 3 in Material Manager and takan Eulerian. In Section Manager, it is assigned Section 3. In Section assignment manager, Section 3 is not appearing. So we are unable to assign Section 3 as Material 3.
I am trying to define skin and then setting skin properties. The skin was created for all (20 nos.) microchannels successfully but we are unable to set oil property to it.
I have successfully created Skin but this is not appearing in Section Assignment Manager.
Kindly let me know how to set oil properties in ABAQUS by this method or any other method.
