A postoctoral research associate (RA-II) position is currently available in the Unit of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology project at the S. N. Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences, Kolkata, India. The research project will focus on understanding structural evolution and failure processes in nanocrystalline materials through computational techniques, to suppliment the experimental observation. The project will be supervised by Prof. Tanusri Saha-Dasgupta and Dr. Amitava Moitra. A candidate with a strong background in atomistic simulation (DFT/MD) of materials is desired. A Ph.D. in Physics, Applied Physics, Materials Science, or a related field will be acceptable.
